On January 17, 2020, a promotional press conference for the project "Cultural bridge through the centuries" was held.
The project "Cultural bridge through the centuries" is funded under the INTERREG-IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of N. Macedonia 2014- 2020, in which the Lead Partner is the Georgi Todorov 1885 National Habitat from the Municipality of Belica, R. Bulgaria and the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, as second project partner.
The press conference was attended by the President of the Council of the East Planning Region, as well as the Mayor of the Municipality of Stip, Mr. Blagoj Bocvarski, as well as the Mayor of the Municipality of Belica, Mr. Radoslav Revanski. The Head of the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Local Self-
Government, Mr. Kiril Partalov, the Team Leader of the Project by the Lead Partner, Ms. Maja Padareva also addressed the participants. and by the director of the NI Institute and Museum, Mr.
Mitko Sterjov.
The project is focused on developing and encouraging cross-border cooperation in the field of cultural tourism between public institutions and other stakeholders in the tourism and culture sector through organizations of common events, transfer of knowledge and experiences. Within the project "Cultural bridge through the centuries" a number of activities will be implemented in the cross- border region, such as training for tourist guides, various workshops on topics related to Cultural Heritage Management, discussion forums on similar topics as well as construction activities. of the church "St. Vlasie" at the ISAR archeological site in Stip, and the National Reading "Georgi Todorov 1885" in Belica.
The foreseen project activities should be implemented in a period of 24 months, ie until 03.09.2021.
The total value of the project is around 406,000 EUR, of which at the Center for Development of the East Planning Region for implementation of the planned activities is about 185,000 EUR.
