On 17 and 18 of February in Belitsa a two-day work meeting was held in the framework of the Project CB006.1.21.107 “Cultural Bridge through the centuries” funded by INTERREG-IPA CBC
Bulgaria – Republic of North Macedonia between the teams of the leading partner, Community center “Georgi Todorov 1885” Belitsa and the project partner Centre for development of the East
planning region, Republic of Macedonia On the first working day, the teams from the two cross-border regions discussed the soft measures of the project related to the educational programs: “Training of tourist guides”, “Management of cultural events” and “Management of cultural and historical heritage” for development of cultural tourism in cross-border regions.
On February 18 the work of the teams will continue with specifying the months and dates for the planned activities and the joint presentation of the common traditional and cultural heritage as a
means of sustainable tourism development of the cross-border region by promoting the values of cultural tradition and tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage.
The project “Cultural Bridge through the centuries” focuses on the development and promotion of cross-border cooperation in the field of cultural tourism between public institutions and other
stakeholders in the field of culture and tourism by organizing joint events, transfer of knowledge and experience. The project is oriented to specific needs such as: socialization of tourist sites and their transformation into suitable for visiting; promotion of tourist attractions of different types; improving the quality of tourist information and services; more cooperation at all levels in the field
of culture and tourism – local authorities, business.
