St Kilda schoolgirl hits back at critics after lottery win

<br>The ‘St Kilda schoolgirl’ who rose to fame when she leaked nude photos of multiple AFL players has hit back at online sceptics after gushing about her recent lottery win and huge cryptocurrency gain.

Kimberley Ametoglou, née Duthie, said she pocketed more than $27,000 in division two prizes in the lottery drawn on Monday.

On top of this, she boasted she’d become a ‘multi-millionaire’ Bitcoin halving impact on coin prices Instagram after her stock in the cryptocurrency MATIC tripled in one day to around $150,000.

In a Facebook group on cryptocurrency advice run by Ms Ametoglou, some critics suggested the numbers she boasted of didn’t add up.

Ms Ametoglou responded by calling one critic an ‘idiot’ and then detailed how she scored her newfound wealth.

‘It’s actually really fking sad that some people in here are questioning my legitimacy or my own financial status when all I have done is literally help and assist as many of you as I can for FREE,’ she wrote.

‘I create posts to help you all achieve financial freedom and to help yourselves, your families and whoever you choose to pass that on to.’

She then threatened to delete the group altogether.

One group member had posted that the numbers described by the ‘crypto queen’ didn’t add up.

‘The value of her wallet tripled from $50K to $150K in the space of a day when the stock itself rose by less than 50 per cent that day,’ they said.

In response, Ms Ametoglou said while she didn’t owe anyone any explanations, she wanted to clear things up for her followers. 

The posts came after Ms Ametoglou revealed doctors had found a ‘rare’ tumour as she underwent surgery in February while battling cervical cancer. 

The 27-year-old said the diagnosis left her ‘devastated’ but she was ‘staying positive’. 

A year earlier she revealed she’d been diagnosed with the cancer and her parents had setup a GoFundMe page to help her in her recovery. 

In another post she’s seen boasting about the stock in digital currency MATIC otherwise known as Polygon

In 2010, scandal engulfed the St Kilda Football Club and clients of player manager Ricky Nixon when Ms Ametoglou released nude photos of some of the side’s biggest stars.

She also posted a photo of a Nixon dressed only in his underwear while visiting her in a hotel room which was taken when she was aged 17.   

At the time she said she felt disrespected, hurt and isolated by players. She later admitted the scandal was ‘one of the biggest mistakes of my life’.

Earlier this year, the expiry of non-disclosure agreements Ms Ametoglou signed meant she could finally reveal her experiences in a book she planned to write.

‘Finally speaking my truth,’ she wrote on Instagram.  

‘Overwhelmed with interest in my book from last night’s sneak peak story. This is one of the most challenging things I have ever done, reminiscing on past traumas and a time in my life that I was at absolute rock bottom.

‘I wanted to be able to share what I couldn’t say 10 years ago during many TV interviews.’

She is now married to her partner Demirel who is 27 years her senior and the father to her four-year-old son Zac.
