In the period from 27 – 29.07.2021 in the municipality of Belitsa within the project “Cultural bridge through the centuries” a tourism fair was organized.
The participants in the fair were representatives from Belitsa and a total of 20 representatives of the municipalities from the East planning region, as well as individuals and representatives of other institutions working in the field of tourism.
The cultural and natural heritage of the East planning region and Belitsa was presented at the tourism fair through the produced videos from the project. During the three days in the center of Belitsa, stands were set up where products (souvenirs, handicrafts, home-made food products) from producers from all over the cross-border region were exhibited.
The participants of the tourism fair were able to present their creations and at the same time learn new things, exchange experiences with the participants from both sides. All participants actively participated in the discussion organized within the program of the tourism fair, citing and giving examples of successful development of cultural tourism.
