On February 17 and 18, 2020 in Belitsa was held the first two-day team meeting within the project "Cultural bridge through the centuries" between the teams of the lead partner Community Centre "Georgi Todorov 1885" and the project partner Centre for development of East planning region.
On the first work day, the teams from the two cross-border regions discussed the soft measures in the project related to the implementation of the educational programs "Training for tourist guides", "Cultural event management" and "Cultural heritage management" for the development of cultural tourism in cross-border regions.
On the second day of the work meeting the team worked on the time frame for the planned activities and the joint presentation of the traditional and cultural heritage as a means for sustainable development of tourism in the cross-border region by promoting the values of cultural tradition and tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
The project "Cultural bridge through the centuries" focuses on the development and promotion of cross-border cooperation in the field of cultural tourism between public institutions and other stakeholders in the field of culture and tourism by organizing joint events, transfer of knowledge and experience.
The project is oriented towards specific needs such as socialization of tourist locations and making the sites more appealing for visit, promotion of tourist attractions of different types, increasing the quality of tourist information and services, greater cross sector cooperation in culture and tourism – local government, business sector and civil society.
