Working visit to the medieval church “St. Vlasie”

The Institute and Museum Štip had a working visit to the medieval fortress of Isar in Štip, where the medieval church “St. Vlasie” is located.

Dating back to the 14th century, the medieval church “St. Vlasie” was discovered in 2010 during archaeological excavations at the location of Stara Klanica, on the northwest foothills of Isar. Conservation works were carried out on the church in 2020, enhancing the significance of this archaeological site in Štip’s tourist offerings.
